Hot on the heels of Sainsbury (see below); Asda are removing all artificial colours and flavourings from its 9,000-odd own brand products.

They estimate this will cost them about £30 million.

When shopping generally, particularly try to avoid E110 (sunset yellow) and E129 (Red), as these are the one's thought by many to make some children hyperactive.
