What we like on our Toast!

What we like on our Toast!

Monday 9th July 2007

Latest figures show that the sales of honey have increased by 10% since the beginning of 2004, largely because it is associated with health-giving properties.

Sales of marmalade, however, fell by around 14% over the same period. It's thought that this is largely because the younger generation have a sweeter tooth - finding traditional Seville orange varieties to bitter. Although sales to the over 40's seems unchanged, marmalade producers are concentrating on developing sweeter varieties made with tangerine etc. for the younger generation.
