Latest figures show that the sales of honey have increased by 10% since the beginning of 2004, largely because it is associated with health-giving properties.
Sales of marmalade, however, fell by around 14% over the same period. Although sales to the over 40's seems unchanged, marmalade producers are concentrating on developing sweeter varieties made with tangerine etc. for the younger generation.
