Sainsbury's to be Commended

Sainsbury's to be Commended

Tuesday 27th January 2009

Sainsbury's are to be commended on several fronts. 1. They will no longer offer eggs from battery hens after 3rd. February.  2. They are expanding their range of 'affordable' Freedom Food (RSPCA approved) fresh pork.  3. They seem to be putting clear water between themselves and Tesco on the 'Own Brand' quality stakes.

A visit to the deli departments of each supermarket, clearly shows the limited ambitions of Tesco - and in our opinion, they offer inferior quality for many of the comparable items offered.
