Almost Compulsory Reading

Almost Compulsory Reading

Sunday 8th February 2009

Respected journalist Felicity Lawrence has written two books which are compulsory reading for any self-respecting food lover. If you read one, you will more than likely also read the second.

They are 'Eat Your Heart Out' and 'Not on the Label' and can be read in no particular order. You will find out that the basics of what you eat are controlled by just a few companies you've probably never heard of; and quickly find that you are starting to buy organic milk from a local farm - and popping cod liver oil capsules.

Plus - if you are over 40, you might find yourself buying some stronger reading glasses, so you can read the small print on packet ingredients lists.
