Confiture de lait

A form of French condensed milk, with a custard-like consistency and a caramel/nutty flavour. It can be spread in the same way as jam or peanut butter. It is generally sold in glass jars, but sometimes tubes. A popular Argentinian version is called "dulce de leche".

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
