Cox / Cox's Orange Pippin
Perhaps thought to be the most traditional of all British apples, but actually raised by Richard Cox, a retired brewer, around 1825, when he lived at Colnbrook Lawn, Slough, Buckinghamshire. Many apples have since been developed from it. See 'Apple'
