Dal / Dahl / Tarka Dahl

A thin lentil or chick pea purée, rather like thin soup. In British restaurants, it's generally served in a thicker version, to satisfy our palates. It is often served with garlic and spices when it is known as Tarka Dal./ Dahl.  See our Recipe Section
