Devils on horseback

Tea-soaked prunes wrapped in a rasher of streaky bacon and grilled. They are sometimes called Ladies on horseback. The name has no connection with 'devilling' (as in spiced food), but more as a twin to Angels on horseback. See 'Angels on horseback'

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
