Doner kebab

Lamb slices, taken from a vertical roll of minced, reformed and pressed meat, and salad sprinkled with a tahini-based sauce; wrapped in a piece of unleavened (pitta) bread. The quality of the meat can vary from good, through adequate to appalling, so beware - and notice the absence of the word excellent! See 'Tahini'

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
