Dulse (Palmaria Palmata)
A type of edible red, broad-leaved, seaweed found around the coast of Britain. When fresh it is rather like chewing on a rubber band, but it can be found dried (particularly in Ireland). It"s then quite good, when revived by soaking in warm water, after which it can be added to vegetable soup, or used as a flavouring for Champ.
