Applebys Double Gloucester

A traditionally Double Gloucester, made by the Appleby family (of Cheshire fame) at Hawkstone Abbey Farm, Weston-Under-Redcastle in Shropshire using unpasteurised milk from their Friesian herd.

Cheeses are coloured with annatto, and have a delicious but mild flavour and slightly crumbly texture. For more information see (

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards.
