Fabre, Jean Henri Casimir (1823-1915)

A famous French entomologist, noted for his descriptions and paintings of insects.

He noted the fact, often forgotten by followers of "The Hay Diet" (and more modern equivalents), that nearly all food contains mixtures of proteins and starches. A point of human folly generally discounted by those with food fads. See 'Hay, Dr. William'

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
