Fenugreek, Medicinal uses

Fenugreek is one of the oldest-known herbal remedies. A tea can be made from the seeds, and this is known to increase milk secretion in nursing mothers; the drink also lowers blood sugar levels; while in Yeminite folk medicine, it's recognised as a treatment for diabetes - for this treatment, a glass of water in which a tablespoon of fenugreek seeds has been soaked overnight is drunk each morning.
