Forkbeard (phycis blennoides)

A North Atlantic fish belonging to the Gadidae family, so related to the cod, haddock and coley. The quality of the fish should be regarded as more like the latter - so the fish is best suited to being baked or in pies. See 'Fish'

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
