Glucose

The form of sugar produced in plant and animal tissues and used to provide energy.

A feeling of well-being and high energy depends largely on the maintenance of normal levels of glucose in the blood, cells and muscles.

A chronic condition of low blood glucose levels is known as hypoglycaemia, while its opposite is diabetes.
