Gnocchi / gnocco

Meaning "little lump" in Italian, these are baby dumpling made from mashed potato, semolina or a mixture of both. They are sometimes flavoured with cheese or suchlike, but often just served with a fresh tomato (or local) sauce. See our Recipe Section
