Greenacres Farm

Top-class artisan cheese makers Kevin & Alison Blunt, feel into their craft almost by accident, having inherited a few goats which came with their smallholding during the 1980's. This started a love affair, and they now have over 200 (milking takes about 5 hours), and are one of Britain's most respected goats cheese producers.

They have divided their goats into two herds, so have spring and autumn kidding – but an even supply of milk.

They make two types of goats cheese 'Chabis' and 'Golden Cross' (the latter being made in a larger size called 'Laughton Log'); plus a sheep's cheese 'Flower Marie' – made with bought-in ewe's milk.
