Guernsey Cows

A breed of cows coming from the Channel Island of the same name. Like Jersey"s they were originally known as Alderney"s, and still go under this name in the U.S.A. Guernsey"s average 5,500 pints of milk per annum with 5% butterfat content. See 'Holstein-Friesian Cows'; 'Jersey Cows '
