Hawthorn; Medicinal uses
Infusions, or a few drops of tincture, are widely used in Europe in the treatment of heart disorders (particularly those of a nervous disorder), insomnia and hypertension. Extracts of hawthorn dilate and relax coronary vessels, reducing blood pressure and improve blood supply to the heart - therefore being beneficial in the treatment of angina. See 'Hawthorn'
