Hop 'Asparagus'

The first fibrous shoots of the hop. These can be eaten like asoaragus (hence the name) - the taste being a cross between asparagus and spinach. They are one of the world's most expensive vegetables, being available fresh in season in hop-growing areas and also in jars for the rest of the year. See our 'Mail Order Section'
