Tea made from the female flower is beneficial in helping mothers improve their milk flow; the same tea is also good for nervous diarrhoea, stimulating the appetite, insomnia and restlessness. A tea made with hops is said to eliminate intestinal worms - one cup a ay is usually sufficient. Hop capsules are available from health food shops, but it's important not to exceed any recommended dose. See 'Alternative Medicine'; 'Hop'; 'Hop Asparagus'; 'Hops; Culinary uses'
