Brahe; Tycho (1546-1601)

A famous Danish astronomer, who with his German colleague Johan Kepler proved that planets orbit the Sun in ellipses. He was a colourful figure and wore a metal nose, after his own had been cut off in a duel. He is of culinary interest as he supposedly died from a distended bladder, after drinking a surfeit of wine with the Baron of Rosenberg.

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards.
