Lamprey (petromyzon marinus)

A jawless eel-like fish of the petromyzonidae family, growing to about 1.5 metres. The lamprey is anadromous like the salmon (able to live in fresh and sea water). If found on your fishmongers slab, it"s suitable for any recipe calling for eel.
