Lemon verbena (aloysia triphylla)

A member of the verbenaceae family, native to Chile. It"s a half-hardy deciduous perennial growing up to 3 metres in height, with a spread of about 2.5 metres. It has pale green leaves, which are very strongly lemon scented, particularly when rubbed, and tiny white flowers in early summer.
