Lentil, Black Belugaâ

A form of lentil only recently introduced to Britain from America's Great Plains - where they are grown.

They need no soaking, and only 15-20 minutes cooking gives them an al dente texture and glossy black colour.

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
