Limpet (Patella vulgata)
A gastropod with a diameter of about 5-7cm. Limpets are edible, but not sought after. Boiling seems to be the best method of cooking, and they make good soup. Their juice is also mixed with oatmeal in certain areas of Scotland, and limpet meat made into potato stovies in the same country. See 'Stovies'
