Fairtrade Foundation, The

Aims to give a better deal for marginalized third world producers. In practice this means helping producers receive a fair price, doing business directly with farmers so they receive maximum profit and promoting fair wages and good conditions for workers.

The organisation is run as a charity, and originally set up by Cafod (Catholic Agency for Overseas Aid), Christian Aid, NEW consumer, Oxfam, Traidcraft and the World Development Movement.
