Maraschino

A liqueur made from the sour black cherry Marasca, which originally only grew in Dalmatia. Production now centres around Padua in Italy. Unlike Kirsch (another cherry liqueur) the stones are also pounded and incorporated.

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
