Semi-skimmed, a little over half the cream has been removed to give between 1,5 and 1.8% fat
Skimmed, almost all the cream has been removed to leave 0.1% fat
Ultra-heat-treated (UHT), "long life milk". This has been ultra-heat-treated (to 132 degrees centigrade for 1 second) and aseptically packed in foil-lined containers. It keeps unopened without refrigeration until the expiry date-stamp, but needs refrigerating after opening.
