Milk, various tinned milks are also available

Both these were invented as ways of transporting milk without refrigeration.

Condensed Milk: this has usually been condensed by about two-thirds, and has sugar added. When "let-down" with water, it is said to be more easily digestible than real milk, because of its sugar content.

Evaporated Milk: this is similar to Evaporated milk, but unsweetened. See also "Milk Powder"
