Milk Thistle (Carduus Marianus)

An annual plant that grows wild in dry, rocky soils in parts of Europe and North America. Both the leaves and seeds are used as a treatment for liver disorders and to prorect the liver from toxins. In past times milk thistle was given to increase milk flow in nursing mothers. It's wildly available in health food stores. See 'Alternative Medicine'
