An Italian relish made from semi-candied fruits in a sugary syrup, flavoured with mild mustard. Fruit includes whole apricots, cherries, figs, plums and small oranges plus slices of melon, pear or pumpkin. It is eaten with cold boiled meat such as ham. A similar preserve is made in Austria, where it's known as 'Senffrüchte'.
