Muhallabia

A Middle Eastern milky ground-rice pudding with almonds and pistachios, flavoured with rosewater or orange blossom. They are good grilled, fried or baked, either whole or filleted; but need scaling first. Care of your eyes is needed when doing this, as the wafer-thin scales can fly everywhere.

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
