Nasturtium (tropaeolum majus)

An edible plant, easy to grow in British gardens, and related to Watercress. The flowers vary in colour from yellow through orange to red, and look attractive in salads, as are the peppery-flavoured leaves. The buds and seeds can be pickled and used as capers.

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
