Orach/Orache (atriplex hortensis)

An herbaceous plant, originating in Eastern Europe; it"s now grown as a vegetable, mainly in France, where it"s treated like spinach. A red variety (atriplex hortensis "rubra") can be treated in the same manner, and is also used to flavour bread.
