Oysters; American Oysters/Eastern Oysters (Crassostrea virginica)
These oysters live on the western Atlantic seaboard, and grow up to about 17cm in length. Oysters in the U.S.A. are generally more popular cooked, but either way these have a good flavour, but are unlikely to be found at your fishmongers.
