Perry

A traditional English alcoholic pear drink (resembling pear cider), that has fallen out of favour - mainly due to the fact that many pear orchards have been grubbed up. It was also very popular in early 19th century America, wen cider was almost the national drink. It"is still available from a few top class British producers. See 'Cider'; 'Peachy' and our Mail Order Section.
