Persimmon, Medicinal uses

Unripe fruit contain tannins and are astringent, which makes them beneficial in treating diarrhoea and hypertension. However, it's important not to eat them in large quantities, certainly not more than one or two at a time, as it's known to cause intestinal blockage in some people.
