Pinot blanc, Pinot noir

Grape varieties the latter being the backbone of red wine making in the Burgundy region of France.
It used to be thought that this variety didn't produce high quality wines elsewhere – but this has been proved completely wrong & the variety is successfully grown all around the world – some of the best perhaps coming from California, the south island of New Zealand & South Africa.

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
