Plantain Plant (Plantago Genus)

A common weed belonging to the Plantago family, and not to be confused with the banana-like Musa Paradisiaca of the tropics.

Leaves from this plant can be eaten raw in salads, when young, made into soup, or brewed into tea.

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
