Poor cod (Trisopterus Minutes)

A fish belonging to the 'gadidae' family, so related to cod, coley, haddock and Pollack. They reach a maximum length of about 24cm.

Poor cod is a bony fish, which also has poor keeping qualities, so when caught they are sold for fish meal, or simply thrown back.
