Biodiversity; the benefits of Organic Farming

In the UK the "Soil Association" launched a biodiversity campaign in May 2000 and released figures from independent reports on the effect of intensive farming. The reports compared the richness and abundance of wildlife on lowland organic and conventional farms in Europe between 1985 and 1999. Michael Meacher, Minister of the Environment, said he thought the report set out the evidence "comprehensively, forcibly and effectively". See @Biodiversity, some of the figures relating to the UK"
