2. A sweet or savoury dish generally steamed in a mould - such a "Spotted Dick" or "Christmas pudding" (see photograph).
3. A kind of sausage - such as "black pudding". This type of pudding supplied the name, as it"s derived from the Norman-English word "pudingis" - which only applied to boiled sausages.
4.A baked batter mixture - such as Yorkshire pudding.
