Rump steak

A steak from the rump of a beef animal. A steak cut from the thick end of a rump slice is thought by many to be the finest available. From a good butcher it should be tender, and will have more flavour than either fillet or sirloin. Inferior rump steak is another matter!

If you enjoy cooking take a minute to look at ‘Simon Scrutton French Cookery Classes’ on Google – and learn how to make top class bistro-style dishes. Suitable for beginners upwards. Small classes.
