Sapodilla (Manilkara Zapota)

A delicious sweet, plum-sized fruit with reddish-yellow granular flesh, native to Central America, but introduced (and now cultivated) in South East Asia.

The tree also produces 'chicle' gum, which is a major ingredient in chewing gum.
