Silver Hake (Merluccius bilinearis)
A sea fish belonging to the Gadidae family, which includes cod and haddock and hake - inhabiting the western coast of the Atlantic, between Newfoundland and North Carolina. In New England it is sometimes called frostfish. Can be treated as cod hake for culinary purposes.
