Squid; To clean
Cut off the head and tentacles as near as you can to the sack-like body. Gently squeeze out the contents of the body, finishing this with a finger if necessary; a plastic-like quill will come out of this "sack". Carefully remove the thin purple "skin" from the main body and "wings". Unless you wish to stuff the squid, you can cheat by cutting the sack open. Remove the tentacles as closely as you can to the eyes, and set these aside. The head section, which will include the "beak" should be discarded. The sack and tentacles are edible.
