Striped Bass (Morone Saxatilis)
A fish occurring mainly in the western Atlantic, between the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the Gulf of Mexico - belonging to the percichthyidae family. It grows up to I metre in length, although, half this size is more common. In the southern states of the U.S.A. it is often called rock fish. It should be treated in a similar fashion to our native bass, or like salmon.
