A red liquid chili seasoning originated by E. McIlhenny in the mid 1860"s, and made by the family on Avery Island, Louisiana ever since. The original very fiery version has been supplementary milder Jalapeno pepper, green-coloured version. Both versions are excellent when used to enliven a Bloody Mary or add life to a casserole.
