Tapioca

Edible starchy granules prepared from the fleshy root of the cassava plant - which is also called manioc, and sold in many forms. It Brazil, where it was given its name, it's long been the prime source of starch.

Tapioca is available in several forms, such as flakes or flour and in Britain, it"s chiefly used in milk puddings.
